Become A Network Marketing Sponsoring Expert

Why does one person sponsor hundreds or thousands of people while another person just sponsors a few?


It's the question every single one of us tackle in our careers. For myself becoming an Internet marketing mom did not happen over night. It took years of understanding the ins and outs of the industry. When I first started online I tried everything I could to give myself the edge I saw so many others have. How was one person a network marketing sponsoring expert while another could barely tread water? After all they had the same products, possibly the same system what made one person different than the other?

In December of 2007 after fumbling for quite a while in my business and really just treading water myself I had a little bit of a revelation. It was a week night really no different than many others. My kids were tucked away in bed and I was listening to a mentor on a marketing training webinar. I was listening to training on something I already knew how to do and really was just getting irritated. I had put so much time into my business, done everything my sponsor had told me to do and yet I was no where near where they were. What was I doing wrong?

All at once it really hit me and the concept just built from there. I was doing what I thought were the same things my mentors were doing, but yet I was no network marketing sponsoring expert by any means!

I started thinking, there are hundreds of people sitting here listening to this guy teach something I have been taught probably 10 times. What am I doing wrong? The answer...I wasn't thinking like him. He knew he was the expert. Yes, he may have known a little more than I did with his years of experience but I had a pretty good idea what I was doing already. The difference was the way he treated his prospects. After all, at one time I was probably one of his prospects. If you look at the fact that I was on that webinar I still was. What was he doing that lead me to be on that call every week?

He was building relationships. The internet is such an impersonal world. Many of us actually like it that way. I have no interest in having home parties or trying to recruit my friends and family into my business. I didn't even have any interest in calling everyone who visited my website. I liked the impersonal approach I was using. My prospects were making decisions off of facts, what they saw and the information I sent them. By me not having to get on the phone with them or "sell" them my business made for a pretty successful business. My prospects could see how easy it was for them to be doing the same thing. They didn't need to be an expert to be successful. They could plug right in and do the same thing I did. What I was lacking though was building a relationship with someone before I even sponsored them.

In the following months I continued to watch what my mentors were doing. The things no one wants to teach you because it gives them the edge. They want to tell you just what they need to tell you to make a little bit of money and have you continue to follow them. They aren't going to give away all their secrets!! Most of us don't take the time to watch what they actually do. We just follow what they say. It became very clear to me the answer to that question. Why does one person sponsor hundreds of people while another just a few? The network marketing sponsoring expert is branding themselves. They are building relationships with their prospects. They are approaching their business with a totally different marketing plan than I was. Their focus wasn't their product, their service or anything of the sort it was themselves.

Creating YOU INC. is essential for your success. Developing relationships in such an impersonal world will create the backbone to skyrocket your business. Whether your prospects realize it or not they trust more when they see a person. With continued follow up they trust more and more that you are a real person. That you care about them.

To be successful your prospect must feel they know, like and trust you.

That is the key. Branding you. Developing that relationship. That is what is going to make you a network marketing sponsoring expert.
